Shutdown or Showdown?

On Monday, September 24, 2013, CNN published an article titled “What do shutdown and debt limit have to do with Obamacare?” The article focuses on the potential U.S. Government shutdown that is fast approaching on October 1.  If the spending budget is not agreed upon it will affect everything from paying our armed forces to collecting the trash.  Obamacare will not be affected by the shutdown.  With both sides not backing down, the shutdown is going to be a showdown.  

I find the article worth reading because it provides the reader with a better understanding of what will be affected if the government does not reach a logical agreement on this budget.  The fact that our trash may not be picked up or the Armed Forces may not be in place is scary.  It seems as though the Government is preparing itself for some form of showdown to prove a point for who has the most power.  The president or Congress.
